Sowing the seeds
Sow 3 to 4 inches apart and 1 inch deep. 36” spacing between rows. Soil needs to be warm to ensure good germination, plant in soil that is 21 degrees Celsius.
Thinning
Wait until the plants reach 4 inches tall and then thin to 10 to 12 inches apart.
Harvesting
Once the corn has plumped up and the silks have withered you can test further if the corn is ready. Pull back a bit of the husk to expose a few kernels, use your fingernail to push into the kernel, if the juice is milky the corn is ready if the juice appears to be clear the corn is still immatur
