Sowing the seeds
Start inside 6 to 8 weeks before last expected frost. Sow ½” deep and 4” between rows.
Transplanting
This is a cool season crop, transplant into the garden with 12” to 18” between each plant.
Harvesting
Cut individual leaves when they are about 3” long. Cut the lower leaves first and avoid cutting the growing tip. As the weather gets warmer the leaves will get tougher.
